a PM would be nice

I posted that Dale Isley's wife was in labor. As he is a well respected member here at TDS I thought it was an OK topic. The post got deleted I guess. So I take it nobody in the admin cares for us to share such info... At least a PM would be nice to know who and exactly why it was deleted.... Just a thought...

Re: a PM would be nice

It was not a question. The admin sees that as a blog entry. This is a technical forum. We are not allowed to form personal relationships, have any regard whatsoever for other members or discuss anything outside of the realm of technical matters.

Agree with it or not, it is what it is.

The moderators are supposed to send you an e-mail - unless the post was in the Other Tech Questions form. If the post was in the Other Tech Questions forum but it wasn't a tech question, then they aren't supposed to notify you at all. Them's the rules.

Re: a PM would be nice

Smokey, you and Larry deleted bunches of my posts years ago and never PM'ed a thing. Why should it matter. If a moderator wants to dump something, dump it and move on, no explanation is needed.
