posting new posts

Used to be I would click on post new topic and system would automatically fill in my username and password. For quite a while now, the windows are blank and I have to type in the data. The funny thing is that after I type "ram" as in rambling_one, a second window appears below my typing box with my full username therein. I still have to type the password and away we go. Is there something I can do on my end to correct this?

Re: posting new posts

I think that it is the slowness of the server - it is still reading your cookie and responding appropriately when you are typing in your username. Then it catches up and fills in the username and password. Just a question of pokiness on the server's part. Nothing for you to do differently, I would guess.

Re: posting new posts

This is happening to me as well. I have to fill in my username and password every time I post or reply. Aside from bruised ego, I manage to manage.

Re: posting new posts

What I would like to know, is why do I always have to type in my username on the first post if the cookie should store it for a year? Mine will store it after the first post of the session, but never if I should disconnect and reconnect.

Re: posting new posts

Your browser has probably lost the cookie that causes it to remember between sessions. Use the Preferences link at the top of this page and tell it to store your user name and password for one year.
