why oh why wont this program let you actually post a photo inside the post, instead of having to link to where the photo is?
I dont want to post a link to "WHERE" the photo is, I want to be able to post the photo "HERE"... but the program wont allow you to upload photos and select them from your computer..
How can I post a pic HERE...???
and btw, I did upload a pic to my gallery, then tried to link that photo in another post, and all I got was the link...
<p>
An image from W3Schools:
<img src="http://www.w3schools.com/images/ie.gif">
</p>
copy and paste above into post then
replace http://www.w3schools.com/images/ie.gif with a link to your pic
pic must be the only thing on the page for the link to work
then replace An image from W3Schools
with your text and you can also add text below the pic too

geez, it would be so much easier if the program just allowed you to upload pics from your computer, rather than link this, edit this, post this, change this tag to tag 2.. blah blah blah....
well they wont let you do that because then you can post any pic (your gf naked) which may not be liked by all so by clicking the link you agree that you want to see it and the site in not responsible

That functionality is not activated here on this site and hasn't been previously. Several reasons why but it can slow down page loading dramatically for a lot of members. Placing a link to the image where it is hosted is the way you have to do it here.

Pull up the picture you want in your browser and copy the URL in the address bar. Then paste the URL into your post as a web page link. Like this

Dick's instructions work if you want to link to the webpage. But if you want to link only to the photo, then here's how:
Look at your photo in your gallery. Click on the photo until it is max size. Then right-click on the photo. A window will pop up with some options. Click on "properties". Then in the properties window, highlight the URL of the photo, then copy it into RAM or scratchpad or whatever you call copy into memory. With Windows Vista, I right-click on the highlighted URL, then click on "copy" in the pop up window.
Then go into TheDieselStop editor and paste that URL into your post. I do it with a right-click in the post, then click on "paste" in the pop-up window.
Notice my link and Dick's link are to the same photo in TheDieselStop photo gallery. The difference is Dick's link shows you the entire webpage, while my link shows you only the photo.
