Potential Scam

I have my truck listed for sale on this web site only and I recently recieved 3 internet offers to buy it. Problem is I strongly suspect they are a scam. In each the person wants me to provide information so they can send me a certified check for 3 to 5 thousand dollars in excess of what I'm asking. I'm then supposed to send the difference to a third party! When I've replied that that makes no sense, I don't hear from them again. This is the first time I've tried to sell a vehicle this way and any advice would be appreciated.

Re: Potential Scam

He is right, when my truck was for sale i ran into the same thing, hello i am blah blah blah... i work for commision, blah blah blah. I told them that if they want my truck, they can send me the check and have my truck, after a 10 day cooling off period on the check, and pay me an extra 5K for my troubles.

John, you cross-posted this here and in the Other forum. Since cross posting is against the rules, I'll close this thread and leave the one in the Other forum open for additional comment.
