Problem with a post being moved...

I realize that the moderators are just doing their job when moving posts, but a post I posted was for the '94 - '97 crowd only, for a BD Dyno day coming up, of which now is totally wasted, as no one...or very very few, ever go to the "Events" part of the forum, including myself.
In my opinion, the Events forum is for large groups mainly, or for those racing or sled pulling.

Our group is unique ('94 - '97) in that we are a large group of "locals" (states and provinces) who keep in touch via the forum (along with a mix of mods etc).
The majority of us stay in the '94 - '97 and don't stray, although I will occassionally go over to the "Aftermarket" as well, but never go to the "Events" section.

Many will now be wondering where this post went to...as it is fruitless to add to it, as no one will go there to see it!

I've never seen a complaint about a local group getting together for such an event, so I'm not sure why this post was moved...but I also know that (unfortunately) moderators can't explain why they've done what they've done too...so we all lose on this one. Would say "thanks"...but I don't feel thankful.

Dale

Re: Problem with a post being moved...

Will reply to my own post here...in that upon checking...there is still a "quick link" to my original post, which at least tells us where the post is!

I will thank whomever it was that moved it, to at least having left a link.

Not quite sure why it had to be moved, or if someone was hurt by it (doubt it) but sorry if I sounded harsh, as I was mainly trying to figure out why...more than anything else. The early Powerstroke guys are much more forgiving than most, thus as in the past...I believe don't mind having a post for locals on possibly getting together to test our trucks with mods we've learned about here..on the '94 - '97 part of the forum.

Again...thanks for the link that was left.

Dale

Re: Problem with a post being moved...

Though it's good having the link left in the 94-97 forum, it doesn't get bumped to the top when someone replies to it in the "Events" forum. Within a short period of time, it's buried a page or two down, and many people merely look for the posts that have been added/updated since the last time they logged on.

Re: Problem with a post being moved...

Discussion of events, rallies, club meetings, other get-togethers, and attempts to organize a club are off topic in any forum except the forum we have just for such discussions.

If you refuse to check out the Events and Rallies forum, that's no excuse to post off-topic threads in the other forums.
