I asked what was the difference between the 99 frame and the 01 frame. Heres the catch I also said that the the 99 was a gas( sorry this word hurts you) and the 01 was a DIESEL( yaaaaaaa thats a good word). Buy that I'm not comparing motors I'm comparing FRAMESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.
So why should I go ask the hand gun guy somthing about a frame
And thanks to all the people that understand what question was asked.
Maybe I should hide my signature and hang out in the gas forum where people understand that some one is just asking a question. That way maybe I won't get bashed for putting that three letter word (GAS) in my topic

I understood your question, don't know the answer.
But I was wondering if your 315 BFG's are on stock 16x7 wheels? I'm thinking about trying them on my 02 Lariat wheels cause I like em.
Thank's in advance for a responce.
Chris

Actually, a question that challenges the moderation on the site belongs to the News forum. Not picking on you, just that this forum is about trucks and your question is about the operation of the site.

Agree with you Scotty, however, Smokey is human too (believe it or not ), and is allowed to make mistakes just like the rest of us
I answered the on-topic question of "is a '99 PSD frame different than a 2001 PSD frame".
If that was the question then that's the end of it.
I did not answer the question of "is a gasser frame different than a PSD frame?" Because that question is off topic in that forum. It would also be off topic in the Gas Engines forum.
It would be on topic in the Other forum, so that's where I suggested the question be posed. The other forum is specifically for those types of questions that would be off topic anywhere else on the website.
No, it was not a mistake. I did it on purpose. The way the WebMaster wants it done.

<blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote:</font><hr>Originally posted by Steve G: Why not the "General" forum instead of "Other"?<hr></blockquote>
The only "General" forum we have is Other Topics: Other forum.
If you mean the '99-up SuperDuties General Questions forum, that's reserved for discussion of PSDs, or for questions where the answer is the same regardless of engine. For example, if you have a V-10 and you want to discuss your sterio, or your tailgate, or your headlights, then you can discuss it in the General Questions forum. That's what the WebMaster means by "Gas engine discussion that pertains to all models is allowed."
But if the answer might be different for a PSD than for a truck with a gasoline engine, then it's off topic in that forum. So basically, if you can ask the question without mentioning or caring that it applies to a truck with a gas engine, because the answer would be the same regardless of engine, then it's probably on topic in that forum.
If you mean the Other Topics: General Diesel forum, anything pertaining to trucks with gas engines is off topic in that forum, too. Again - unless you can ask the question without mentioning or caring that the question pertains to a truck with a gas engine, because the answer would be the same regardless of engine.

Thanks for clearing that up Smokey! Now even I understand.
I did mean the "'99-up SuperDuties General Questions forum" with the following description :
"General questions related to 1999-Up Super Duty trucks. If it doesn't fit the other categories, post it here. Gas engine discussion that pertains to all models is allowed. Specific gas engine questions should use the Gas Engines forum. "
Whew...Tough question. I guess I need to visit the "Other Forum" more often. I ususally don't take the time to look there as there is very little in there that relates to trucks. Oh well...off to the bilge.
