Are questions about stolen vehicles allowed?

I posted a thread yesterday in the General Questions topic about my truck getting stolen - my intent was to give a heads-up to others, both to watch out for their trucks and to give a description of mine in hopes that someone might see it, and I also wanted to see what I could expect from the insurance company. Apparently it was deemed to be against the forum rules as it has been deleted. Where did I go wrong?

Re: Are questions about stolen vehicles allowed?

What section did you post it in? It might have been in the wrong place & instead of moving it,a mod just deleted it, I have seen other threads about stolen trucks (heck I started one months ago myself) that or if there was a bunch of crazy responses to your post the thread will be deleted sometimes.

Re: Are questions about stolen vehicles allowed?

It was in 1999-Up / General Questions. Last I checked there were 3 responses, none of which I thought were crazy...but if there were some, why not delete those?

It was in the carpool lot at Bay Area and 45, btw. I might be looking into that NRA membership myself.

I guess I'll go back to sulking, wondering who's driving it now...

Re: Are questions about stolen vehicles allowed?

No, only posted in one place - General Questions is a topic under the 99+ group of topics. Bay Area TX, as in Galveston Bay. Hoping that it doesn't come down to a total insurance claim - a little damage I can handle, but really don't want to have to replace her.

Re: Are questions about stolen vehicles allowed?

There really is no appropriate forum here for "be on the lookout for...." type posts.

Re: Are questions about stolen vehicles allowed?

Guess who is picking up their truck tomorrow. !!!!! Don't know anything other than the door lock is broken and it's in an impound yard. I'll go out on a limb and say that the ignition is probably borked too. Hopefully that's it. For now, I'm gonna go sprint a few more laps around the county. Re: Are questions about stolen vehicles allowed?

Ha, I knew my post would get deleted (all you have to do is say something bad about the mods or owner).

Congrats on getting your truck back. You can see pic's of what mine looked like when I got it back in my "Truck Pic's" link.
