Quotes

Ok, I can quote somebody but how can I have more than one quote at a time...? You know like when they are all stacked on top of each other.

Be back in 12 hours for my answer

Re: Quotes

I'll turn off UBB Code/HTML to show you the actual code in this post. Then the next post I'll turn UBBCode back on to show how it looks to members viewing the coded quotes:

Quote:
Ok, I can quote somebody ...
That's one quote.

Quote:
...but how can I have more than one quote at a time...?
That's the second quote. See how easy it is to code?

Quote:

You mean like this?

It'll be here waiting for you when you get back.

and so on or like the above which I think the S/W does it now

The way that is done is to put the number of nested {quote} brackets first and then a {/quote} after each threaded reply but using the [] vs the {} in the actual post. In the above there were 4 {quote} and 4 {/quote} and have included the actual code using the {} vs the [] in the text above including the locations of each in the actual text.

you should turn off the UBB code like smokey did so he can understand what the nested quotes will look like on his little post screen.

Here it is w/o UBB enabled (note: I removed all the {quote} {/quote} so as not to confuse you. You can try this out over in the testing forum.
