Re: Radio Poll #2

I picked Saturday evening as this is the period between Saturdays NASCAR activities and Sundays Main events.

What kind of "live show" are you talking about Bill, and how does it work? First time I've heard of such a proposition...

Re: Radio Poll #2

Well,

It depends on what we want to do.

As it stands, I can do live voice broadcasts in response to IRC chat conversations. Basically it's people getting to listen to me talk. I can answer questions while people can type amongst themselves. It's actually pretty cool with the exception of the fact that there is about 45-60 second of broadcast lag between the time I say something (or start a song) and the time it reaches your PC. Unfortunately, it's built into the software and there is nothing I can do about it.

The other option, which is going to require a little more effort, is to have people acutally call in and talk on the air with me. That is a little trickier as I have to figure out how to port the phone call into the PC. I have a mixing board I plan on using, but just don't have that all set up yet.

Anyway, it'll be pretty interesting. At least I think it would be. With all the internet radio stations out there, I think it would be nice to have our own little deal, just for us truck enthusiasts.

I have the music up for now and will look at doing the radio show next week. I have a few things to do this week and will be out of town until Friday.

Take care ( and tune in! )
Bill

Not big on golf or bowling either. More into watching rodeos and truck pulls. -Phillip

Re: Radio Poll #2

You need WinAmp to hear the broadcast. As I type this message, it's playing HipHop...

Here's the Site: WinAmp

Re: Radio Poll #2

Thanks Ariel.
Well I installed it, I like the music variation. Kinda takes some getting used to when it comes to operating it.
