Search feature seems useless???

Was trying to get some info from Bob Riley...so I entered his name into the box...no matches. Ok, tried "water injection"...again no matches.
Thought, well there has to be something on the Monster Box, since he is the only one selling it...again, no matches.

Is there a reason the search feature is so inefficient, and doesn't pick up on these particular searches? I chose "months" in the lower option box...and I know Bob has had many posts regarding these two subjects...even lately!

If I'm doing this wrong, perhaps whatever it is, should be in LARGE PRINT, in the search area?

I just searched for "water injection" and came up with pages of hits.
This was the search criteria:

Forum "Upgrades and Aftermarket"

Key Words "water injection"

Date range "newer than 3 months"

Give it a try with the above criteria and see what you get.

Just tried the same search but changed to "Monster Box" and came up with hundreds of hits.

I think I might have found your problem, leave the "older than" boxes blank, only input in the "newer than" boxes.

Dale, take a peek at the ADVANCED search options. use +water+injection
or any other words that apply. I also did not like the search until I started to follow the advanced search directions,

Thanks guys! Goodness...I've been on this forum for so many years now...and think to myself, those new folks must REALLY find it hard!
But perhaps they're a tad bit smarter than I! [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif[/img]

Maybe there should be a link to a short "How to Use to get Results" help file?
