Searching TDS by user location???

Is it possible to do a site search by user location? For example: Recent posters living in the Las Vegas area?
Thanks,
Chris

Dave Bey has something similar to this in his FAQ on the site, you have to manually enter yourself though:

Re: Searching TDS by user location???

How about a little "memeber drive" for the help network? A note at the top of the forums maybe?

Hopefully get some members from Hawaii in case I make a summer roadtrip

Re: Searching TDS by user location???

The title states "Powerstroke Help Network" so I was interested in leaving my name but IDI is my limit of engine knowledge. As in my case I can help with many other things if required, so in the Notes area specifics can be expanded if "everyone" is welcome I would think.

Re: Searching TDS by user location???

Chris -- I wish it was possible but the forum software stores the 'location' as just a text field so there is no way to search for a specific city or state. If the software had two text fields, one for the city and one for the state than it may be possible. Maybe the forum software company could incorporate this into an update.

cdnsarguy -- The Help Network is open to anyone, not just those members with Power Strokes.

I have been really slow about updating the Help Network lately. If you sent me an e-mail with your information, I more than likely received it but have not yet added you to the Help Network.

Cheers from Orlando, FL!
Dave

Re: Searching TDS by user location???

Thanks Dave. We are attempting to get a meeting of Vegas people together. My thought was that the majority are not monitoring the events forum, thus not aware of the post. I also thought that a PM might generate more interest.
Chris
