Wasn't going to post, but I am anyway. By doing this I am supporting the cash in the pocket of whoever runs this site. Enjoy that last bit of coin. I am out of here. This place no longer offers anything for me.

Good Bye.

Today I was told by Administrator that there is nothing wrong with the speed of the site and if I think its due to the ads then I should give them my money for a membership and that will get rid of the ads.
NOT...

I joined & it did not help the lag ,waiting for the header advertising

At least the stickers that they send out are real nice
The lack of extra adds is almost worth it
But not the slow load times and blank pages that I get at times.

Yep the stickers are around 1 1/2" x 10" and say

"THEDIESELSTOP.COM"

I just can't figure where to put them on my truck so that anybody could see it.
I think that the speed issue is getting better since I haven't had any problems tonight.

What is with the hesitation, or flash? I get the pages loaded about the same speed as I used to, but then it gone for a milisecond, and then it is back, anytime I change pages, ONLY on this site since the change.

Everytime I load a page up, I get Ebay or some other supporting venders page opening up. This site truly has gone down the crapper. If you research anything, you have to go back to the 2002-2005 archives. So why bother even coming on here anymore. There is absolutely nothing to look forward to when I log in. And with everything that has happened in light of a "certain someone's family" and that got deleted because it was going for a "cause". That was just plain and simply ingnorant of this site. All this site is anymore is a "myspace" type site with Mods being dictators.

LOL....it won't be long before this once great website will degenerate into a GoogleBot ghosttown scenario where the mods will have nothing to do and will begin deleting and locking down each others posts......

I agree that the site has gone down hill. I checked this site almost everyday to monitor threads until it was purchased and the IN YOUR FACE advertising campaign became the standard. I log-on about once a week now just to check on current discussions, but the advertising has really frustrated me. It is too difficult and slow to find the helpful topics anymore. I understand the need to fund the site, but put the ads on the side or bottom. I cannot stand having to scroll the ads on every linked page that I click on before getting back to the forum discussions.

I am probably jumping ship also. If anyone has a friendly site with good info, please PM me. Thanks.

I must admit that I too have stopped visiting too often.
Why? I'd rather not express my opinion because I don't want to be banned (I've been warned before).
I used to come read posts and answer technical questions every day.
Now I don't visit TDS for a full month sometimes.
The moderation here needs to improve drastically (this is my constructive positive feedback), otherwise I think the site will slowly disappear.

Just my two cents.
Lou
