Why? I'd rather not express my opinion because I don't want to be banned (I've been warned before).
I used to come read posts and answer technical questions every day.
Now I don't visit TDS for a full month sometimes.
The moderation here needs to improve drastically (this is my constructive positive feedback), otherwise I think the site will slowly disappear.

Just my two cents.

Well obviously you must be one of those "whiners" "complainers" or "naysayers".

According to the Resident Curmudgeons this site is "doin' good" You don't see many of those dreaded Off Topic Posts anymore because, well.......there just aren't many posts of any sort these days!

The owner is getting just what an absentee owner deserves.

What you guys don't realize is this is America, poeple will use the site for as much as they can and for what they can and then leave. If for some reason you don't like the "new" site then don't use it. Why complain about it? Save time and effort, go some where else if you don't care for it! As for myself I have found it very knowledgeable, and I will be visiting often.

The reason we complain and want things fixed is cause many (others even more so than myself) have invest vast amounts of time and knowledge into this site to make it what it WAS and its a bit of an insult to see it run into the ground with advertising. This site has lost about 75% or more of its knowledgeable members some under the old order some under the new order. Either way it will take a while (if ever) for this site to be great again.

The new Canadian owner(s) will likely disagree with that statement...

Easy for you to say ...

When "you" have invested as much time here as we have ,,then , we may be then interested in the shallow solution you recomend.

We want the site to work...

I haven't been here as long as some ,, But I still have quite a bit of time in here ,,

You may want to be carefull who you talk down to,, one of them may be the one you need help from next....

As long as the same staff runs the show, the fate of this site is sealed.

Once you break away and visit the two top sites, you'll never come back here unless you just want to see who they've chased off lately.
Unlike the other sites, this site has no real performance participation. You guys won't believe how much power the 6.4L is making right now, and that conversation is forbidden.
Ya really got to wonder just what the purpose of this site is, and just how weird some of the thinking is here.

Nope..

The Godfather of this site has claimed that we shall not talk about altering emissions equipment.
Gotta love it, huh?

One nice thing now is that there is an "Off Road" fourm so I don't know if you can talk about that stuff there or not but I believe that is why they created it. Time will tell.

Yeah folks asked and asked for an off road forum, continually griped because we did not have one and they put one up and it has a whopping 5 threads in it. No one goes there. We asked and asked for a General Discussion area, which would be very popular with much more useage and we got a "Happy Birthday" forum...........I guess that was the "compromise" reached between the folks here that would rather walk on glass than give us a general discussion area and those that wanted to give us one. I have marked up my birthday so I can post it.

What I totally don't understand is why moderators are not posting on these complaint threads to "calm" the masses.
On the old site, if someone had a gripe, the mods would nearly immediately jump in, have a solution, and the problem would be solved. I would like to know if they are really working toward a solution for page load problems or if this is just the way it is going to be forever???
