Signature issue

I tried to take out the code (<span style etc) in my signature and save it, but it comes back and tells me I have exceeded 500 characters. I then exit without saving and my signature (with extra code) remains.

We just adjusted the max # of characters to 1000.

I've tried modifying the photo links in my old signature, but it told me I'm over the 1000 character limit (something like 1042 including spaces). I modified it down to 967 with spaces, but still get the same "over 1000" message when trying to save it (my current sig is still the old one). Is there something I'm missing? Cheers!

I just went through all this mess too, I changed the font (With the editor on it) and it kept saying that, (when my old signature was showing, with all the extra stuff, like the above poster said) If you click on the "A" at the top corner of your edit box, you MAY find some other things that can come out. For some reason it had {font=xxxx} {/font} in there WAY more than it needed for all the same font, (Every other command had the font command too,,, don't know why. I just left the "Font command at the beginning, and the /font command at the end.

Thanks! I got it now. I had to change editor mode when modding the signature. Cheers!
