Re: Signature Lengths

If I correctly understand all of the above, the limit is still 3 lines, but it allows up to 500 characters so links (with blind characters) can be typed correctly.

Is this your understanding also?

Re: Signature Lengths

Dave C Me I really do not know. I put my blank line back in and have not got a message that it is illeagal. If I do I will take it back out.

I think 500 characters would be longet than three lines. In the old system each line was about 75 caaraters at the resulotion they use as a standard. Heck give it a try and they will let you know if it is not okay. as usual .

Take care and good luck.

Re: Signature Lengths

I have worked at staying within the 3 line guideline. I really don't think that I have too much about my truck that is unusual so I have only included the basics.

I do like to promote the NRA, as I think that anyone that has an interest in firearms or how the government is trying to regulate law abiding citizens should support them. And if there are people interested in Great Danes they could see mine or contact me.

Then the other thing that is important to me in my signature is promoting a Diesel club in this area. I really want to reach like minded people and a small ad every time I post seems like a good way to do that. Which brings me to my gripe, the first one I've had since joining. The other day when I tried to update my sig to let people know that we're caravaning to Dyno Day and got the "300 charactor" message with everything I tried. It seemed like I couldn't delete enough info without getting rid of the links. I gave up in frustration and it defaulted to my original sig.

Frankly I like being able to link to something in a member's sig. If space isn't a problem CAN'T WE HAVE THE 3 LINE LIMIT WITHOUT OTHER RESTRICTIONS?

Whew! Thanks, I needed to vent.
