It isn't just you. One of the odd things about this site since the changeover is the speed. I have three computers. Two of them are on Cox cable the other is dialup. Dialup is just as fast as cable on this site. On every other site my cable service is much faster.

Instead of complaining anymore since it doesn't do any good I'm going to start to look at the good side.

You can go make yourself a sandwich
You can get up and get a cup of coffee while it loads
After you drink all that coffee you have time to go to the bathroom
You can go out and check your truck and see if what you just read is right
You can check your truck and get back to the poster that is having trouble finding something.

And all this while you are waiting for the page to load. I'm sure that there are more things but those are the ones off the top of my head.

Jim

It has never, EVER, been as slow as it is today. Unbrowseable.

I thought it was this system also. At work we have firewalls and all kinds of servers and routers to go through but 5 minutes from log in to this...a couple of tin cans and some string would be faster. Guess I won't be checking on what's happening at lunch any longer. I don't have the time. In nearly 9 years of being a member I don't think it's ever been this bad.

It is extremely slow. I think it took almost 10 minutes just to get this far...

Yep. Same here. Cannot blame the connection from Vienna to the US as all other US sites run *very* fast.

I have been having problems for weeks. Everything from taking forever for pages to load to not loading at all.
Even slower then dial-up. I'll check in every few days but don't stay long. Its just too painful and time consuming and I don't get much free time anymore.

Mozilla Firefox and add the no-add, script block and you will be turbo charged in speed.
