Why are the width sizes on some posts real wide that I have to scroll to read???
Most pages are OK, but some I just don't read do to the scrolling that I need to do.
What's uuuuuup???????????????
Thanks,
Paul B
That happens when someone posts a non-breaking line of text, like a website URL that extends too far right and the page gets wider to fit it. Only fix is either you scroll or for the poster (or an admin) edits the line of text causing the problem.

So you think that the problem is "old timers" sonny boy? Well, us "old timers" probably forgot more than you will ever know. LOL Just jokin with you, but there is a little bit of truth in every joke. I too am iritated with the overly wide posts. Maybe there should be directions on how not to do it. Cheers from an oldtimer.

I wasn't talking about old people, I was referring to the sickness called Oldtimers (altimers)sp? Sure wish an owner would look into this. Oh Well,,,,,,

It shouldn't be happening very frequently unless something is wrong with your computer or your settings. The only time I've ever seen it happen is when someone posts a really long string of unbroken characters like a long website address.
pabranan I knew that, I was just messing with ya. ha Why don't we just post in the thread that the poster needs to fix his too large post. Just a friendly hint you know. I am 63 and retired from making any money. Now, I just work for fringe benifits. mmm good. I am the swamper for wifeys home const & repair. Cheers

jlester, what I don't understant is that I can only type in the confinds of the block we all post in, how can one run on so the long strings happen?? My settings haven't changed on my computer? Not all posts do this but some that I thought were interesting did and I just would't read them. Some are way longer than others and some I just have to move a tad to read. Go figure????? Here is one Click here. The First page I have to scroll back and forth, the rest of the pages are fine. The question is how is this fixed or prevented?
Edit: I can't get the @#$% link to work. The thread is the one about blowing up a PSD in the 1999-up eng & drive train forum.
