Re: Slooowww

Jason:

Don't know if this means anything but when I go from the Home page to Forums, it takes some time, then when I go to 'view recent messages' and click on 'last 24 hours' it takes the 11 seconds.

Once on the message screen, going to messages is super fast, but when I click on 'next' to go to the next page, its slow again.

HTH and thanks!

Re: Slooowww

This is the same condition I am experiencing. From the main index I clicked on the past 24 hours and it took 19 seconds. I am only opening one page at a time so that is all that is going on. I know that this has always taken longer than just going to a post but it is way slooower than it was a few days ago.

Been extremely slow for the last hour. Having a hard time getting to site and when I can, sometimes takes up tp 75 seconds to get a page to load.

Re: Slooowww

Jason the site is super slow @11:55 AM Central time.

Jason @12:10 PM my time the site is back to fast and the Utils section is working again. - Ed

This is FYI.

I tried to run a ping and trace but I guess you have i disabled. It would not bring up the page - it would run its cycle and stay on the home page.

I have got the time out screen a couple of times going between threads in the same forum. Seems to be a bottleneck somewhere and data is backing up. My connection speed is normal and other sites that I have checked are normal for me also.

Good luck and hope this helps you in finding the bugger,

Ed

Re: Slooowww

The "last 24 hours" link will always be slow. It queries every message posted in every forum in the last 24 hours. I don't know of any way to speed that up, sorry.

Re: Slooowww

Yes I know it has always been slow but it just got a lot slower in the last week or so. Now it is taking from 11 to as much as 19 seconds. I never really checked the time before, just seat of the pants I think it only took about 5 or 6 seconds. Not really complaining just trying to pass on what I have noticed. Everything else is fast even with my dial up. Thanks.
