Spam,Spam,Spam,Spam

Since I posted my Superchip 1704 in the for sale section here,I have been getting killed by spam.
Where is all of this comming from?
I NEVER got spam until I posted in the for sale section, anyone else having this problem?
What can I do to stop it?

Re: Spam,Spam,Spam,Spam

There's probably not much that can be done. Spam "spiders" prowl all sorts of various, publicly-accessible websites hunting for email addresses. If your email address is listed on any site, it's available to be "harvested" by a spammer.

Re: Spam,Spam,Spam,Spam

try adding -remove me first- in the address and it can not be harvested without manual intervention and most spammers don't take the time to do that.

ie johnm@-remove me first-cox.net
