How about a updatable list dedicated to dealer response,mech competencey and so forth??...Many of us are away from home frequently and when a prob arises,it would be nice to have a reference from around the country as to whom is reputtable and who is not..
Good idea. Now, to implement, we need a few volunteers. No use volunteering unless you qualify. To qualify you have to:
1) be an expert in the UBB language
2) be an expert in database design (in a database engine that works with UBB) and programming
3) volunteer to spend about 80 hours per week in your "spare" time to develop and implement the system. It shouldn't take you more than about two or three months to get it implemented.
4) volunteer to spend at least 30 hours per week in maintaining the system.
5) understand that your pay will be the same as mine - i.e., $100 times zero - per hour.
I'm sure that as soon as Jason identifies at least 3 qualified volunteers, that he'll be glad to adopt your suggestion.

Darn good idea--I could've used something like that when I was driving my Dodge around the country.
But I don't see why it'd take that much work. It's just a list broken down into regions like states, right? Folks could post their recommendations and others could comment on those and add their own comments. Shouldn't be that big a deal.
