Re: Sure Appreciate This Website

I'll second the AMEN! Many of the things I've done to the truck
went off without a hitch. Then some have been a downright
embarassment! I'm referring to making a post, walking back out to
the truck, and then seeing what you've been asking about. Through
it all, people here have been patient and helpful. So many helpful
and knowledgeable people. It's amazing what's available just for
the asking. To complain about the moderators, give me a break. They
have been great and amazingly patient with some people. Without their
efforts, a site like this wouldn't be possible. I am truly
grateful. Even with the "mod" money spent, I'm still way ahead of
the ballgame! My neighbor thinks I'm some kind a diesel genius! Boy,
he doesn't have a clue.

I resemble that remark!! I've become quite the "expert" amongst my local PSD buddies. I've always been a pretty good mechanic, but knew zilch about diesels. This site, with all it's knowledgeable members, has helped me fix several of my own problems, and several of my buddies', too. I, too say "Amen".....

Re: Sure Appreciate This Website

I enjoy being able to repair my own truck and maintain. I haven't
met too many shops I trust. I don't need to pay shop labor
prices to change parts and hope for the best. I've worked on my
own vehicles since the early 70's and have done well. Everything
from complete engine rebuilds to brakes. With all of the electronics
in this truck it can be intimidating. The depth of experience on
this board allows me to continue being able to solve most concerns.
For that, I'm truly grateful.
