surging during warm up

I am new to this truck, found a 96 with 39 thousand miles on her,19 grand, Truck shortly after purchasing started this surging during warm up crap, I read past posts and clearly I am not alone...Ford does all the service work as I simply can't now, they said Tough crap bout the surging..I actually tape recorded the sound of this so they could hear the dang thing as well as drive it,this is actually getting worse, and now does it after truck is hot and let sit for an hour or so, drive with a light foot and first sounds like its heavely loaded down then unloaded..and so bad it actually sounds like a gas rig..when it unloades. wrote ford, they say my dealer is pulling my chain it;s fixable..but don't offer more then that. also complained the 2 to3 shift point hung pulling the 23' fifthwheel...they serviced gearbox...and now ALL the shift points go to the moon before they shift..pulling trailer I now have to ease off the throttle to finely get it to go to next gear..round 3200 with a very light foot?? and only a slight drop in rpm when she do shift where always shifted round 2600....any suggestions..?? I love the truck, but surges incredble and what ever they did to my trans when only changed the fluid and filter for me.. I am lucky..I have a wife that LOVES the noise and the smell of diesel..so some suggestions..if there are any...I am new to this truck..but now it;s making me nuts..

Re: surging during warm up

Hi, Redwolf424, and Welcome! to Ford-Diesel.com.

Yeah, Fred's right. This website has several different moderated forums, each with its own topics. You posted your question in a forum reserved for discussion of website operations, so it's off topic here. I'll move it to the Power Strokes 1994-1997 forum, where it will be on topic. Click on the link Fred posted to jump over to that forum, then look four post.
