Survey Idea for Jason

The survey Jason did recently was interesting, but I for one would like to see a more in-depth follow-up survey of about 20 questions or so to find out exactly how common some of the problems are that are frequently discussed here. Fuel Cackle (or knock), turbo bolts, popping noises in suspension, creaking front springs (my truck has all of these), excess oil consumption, oil leaks, etc. Include in the survey basic information about respondent's vehicle (year, model, cab configuration, dually vs SRW, trans, etc.) I believe such a survey would generate a lot of responses and might put to rest the idea that some of these problems only occur in 1/2 of 1 percent of these trucks. Since we know that Ford monitors this site, it might open their eyes up to the magnitude of some of these problems as well. I love my truck, but I wish Ford would get moving on the fuel cackle fix and find a way to keep the turbo bolts tight. Some of these problems have been going on for far too long and they're still coming off the assembly line that way!

Re: Survey Idea for Jason

Well, I don't know about the other issues but the frame popping thing has been happening since 1993 at least. I had a '93 F250 that did it ALL THE TIME. The TSB that is out fixes the problem, why haven't they fixed it in production? hmmmmmmm.
