Really?

I assume you are unhappy that other members were allowed to continue a thread in which you had no interest. I am only one of several moderators here, any one of which could have closed the thread at any time. None of the others chose to do so, so why am I the one who “dropped the ball”? This thread should be in the News, Comments and Suggestions forum, so I’ll move it there.

Re: THANK GOD

Sammi, I have a question.

Did you complain to a moderator about the Cummins thread?

It's true that some things on that thread got too personal, but I think quite a few people (myself especially included) had fun, for the most part, with that thread.

It's my opinion that there are times when, if you don't particularly like something and it doesn't directly affect you, it's best to ignore it and go on with other things. At the stage where it was at, I'm not gonna complain about the thread being closed (as I have nonverbally complained about some others), but I wouldn't even think about complaining about it having been open as long as it was.

Furthermore, Mike's right. He's by no means the only moderator on this BBS; in fact, I don't see him in General Diesel as often as Keith and a couple others. I don't see it fit to place any blame on anyone (with the possible exception of some on that thread who got too rambunctious).

Just my $.02...

Re: THANK GOD

My point is that the overwhelming majority of the posts had nothing to do with why the thread was started in the first place. It went way off tangent. Also everything that could be said was pretty much said after the first 65 posts. Just MY $.02. Too, I was under the impression,(erroneously), that mhardin was the only moderator of that section. I will say, IMHO, that all moderators dropped the ball. Warden, Did I complain to a moderator? No. Why should I have done that? There was nothing to complain about in a forum section. I'm not tying to offend anyone. Apparently I am in the minority here but that is my opinion and I am entitled to it.
