Thanks, and a couple polls.

Hello everyone.

A couple things I wanted to say while I had a few moments.

First, I’d like to wish everyone a Safe and Prosperous New Year. Next, I would like to thank everyone that has stood behind me and supported me over the last few months. Our family has been plagued by a series of unfortunate events over the last year, but the last few months have been extremely difficult. Things finally seem to be stabilizing though (recent e-mail fiasco notwithstanding!) and we are getting back on track again.

So, with that out of the way, let me get to the main point of this post.

We (Diesel Power) have decided to implement an Internet Radio station with TheDieselStop.com members in mind. While this station is not affiliated with TheDieselStop.com (at least not yet…. nudge Jason), it is my hope that the member find it useful to have somehting to listen to while they are reading the forums or posting.

I would like to get everyone’s opinion on what kind of music you listen to. This way I can tailor the playlists and hopefully be able to offer a wide variety of music and still be able to play a little something for everyone. I would also like to know if there is anyone interested in joining in on the chat server while we do a live broadcast. We could do a Q&A type thing, take song requests, or whatever. I am looking for suggestions here. Again, I would like it to be for the listeners. It’s what you want to hear that matters.

Anyway, I have 2 polls. If you would be so kind to answer them, I would be very grateful. The second poll is in another post.

Ok. Poll #1:

Thanks, everyone, for taking the time to fill out these polls.

Again, have a Happy New Year.
Bill

Iwould vote for "other"
My favotite music genre was left out. Classic Country.aka real country, not pop music with a twang.

You should consider adding Blues and Jazz to your poll.

Hey,

Gimme a break. I was half asleep when I did the poll!

I can't believe I forgot Jazz, though, as it is one of my favorites. Unfortunately, I can't change the poll. I'd have to redo the whole thing. Ah well.

Take care.

Re: Thanks, and a couple polls.

Viewing your list, I would have checked every one except hiphop and added a few more.

Re: Thanks, and a couple polls.

Yeah, in retrospect I missed a few genres. But this whole purpose was to get an overall idea of what people like to listen to.

So far, Country seems to have the strongest following (Gee, go figure... ) followed by Classic Rock.

Looks like I may have to get up to date on Country Music.

Thanks guys.

Re: Thanks, and a couple polls.

I'm with rmeyers on the classic country thing, but then, While Garth Brooks is pop country, George strait and Randy travis are farly true to country music. I mean, thoes names were listed on the poll, sounds good to me. By the way, didn't see Bluegrass on there I'm a big fan of Bluegrass, just don't know much about it so I have to just listen when I can. -Phillip
