Just want to say thanks for all the people on this forum that take their time to explain problem issues to those of us that don't know. Today I lubed my driveshaft spline to get rid of the thump I felt taking off from a stop. Fixed it! And I also intalled the 2 wheel drive rear axle spacer blocks (2 inches shorter than the 4x4 ones) to lower the rear end. Truck looks good that way. Now it is only about 1 inch higher at the rear wheel compared to the front. Much easier to load and unload as it lowered my tailgate about 3 inches.
Your welcome! I also have enjoyed all the help this sight brings to our fingertips! And I am very glad when I can contribute on the helping side.

Some time ago I was driving my Excursion over a big bridge to my home on the island and was putting my foot in it pretty hard......bang....loud noise....no power....lots of smoke, but after being on this site for a while I did not panic......I knew I had blown a CAC hose and just lost boost. I limped home a mile or so and called a moderator here Super Duty John. John directed me to some super duty pipe glue, and I re-clamped the hose and glued it also. It never blew again even with modifications that may increase boost pressure. Were it not for this site I would have panicked, pulled over and called a tow truck. Many other helpful items here including about 1000 posts on EGR problems.
