Re: That's it I'm out of here...

Hey Macsimizer,
As Ole Chesty Puller said " retreat hell ,we're attacking in another direction" don't let these folks get ya down. Turn around and show those people who want to know, what you have to offer. From what Sgt-96 said you appear to be a pretty squared away dude. Some of these folks around here are FUBAR and the anonymity of the computer makes them experts on everything. Hang in there !!

Re: That's it I'm out of here...

You know what? I'm going to tell you the honest-to-god truth about this website. I love this place. I own neither Ford, nor Diesel, yet I keep coming back, nearly every day. I wish I could meet many of these people in real life. I feel that I know them very well. I was going to come to the Louisville rally but now I see no point as I won't be driving my truck again until June when the new motor is in and everything is properly repaired.

Many times I have become very mad at certain people here and even got myself in trouble. If it should happen again, just check out one of the threads. I'm sure someone will look up every time I've been irritated with someone. Once I called Ray a hippie, told OB-1 he didn't know what he was talking about, called Jason a few names...I've not been much of an angel during the time I've visited this website.

A few of the times that I got pis*ed off I just disappeared for periods of time. I didn't come here for I'd say it was at least 6 weeks. I don't know why I did it. The rest of the people here enjoyed themselves without me. Not like it seemed it was a big loss to them for me not to be here, so I came back when I recovered from my stupidity. I hope you do the same, by not visiting the site you're only cheating yourself.

Many people on this site enjoy hearing about me and my truck despite that it's not Ford or Diesel. Even though it's not, it's 4wd, American, Loud & Lifted, and the best truck I could afford. It's the first pickup truck I've owned and the first 4x4 I've built. Hopefully it's one of many.

Don't leave, Macs...nice thing about this forum is that you're not in the room with anyone you're talking to. If you don't like what your hearing (seeing), "Click...they're gone!"

Enjoy your posts and your knowledge and appreciate both.

Re: That's it I'm out of here...

Don't leave!!!! We need your wealth of knownledge to draw from. Unfortunately some people today are not mechanically inclined nor do they have common sense, but come hell or high water they are right. I have served over 17 years, and still serving, in the military and I know the furstration that you are seeing. Don't let the inconsiderate b*s^a&ds get you. Espeacially not at this site. I bet there is people here that probably don't even take the time to look that you are a tech. Then they take it out on you because they are frustrated by the poor service that we are getting from some dealers. This I know well because we have One in Alaska that I wouldn't give you a trud for...California's know him well (Cal Worthington)because he was booted and now he has set up shop in Alaska.
I know first hand that many times it's not the techs but the companies they work for.Us who slave at the bottom lose are families, our life styles and work our selves to the bone and get no credit or at a mininium a little time off when needed.

Stick around...I always used the info in your posts. I am not the smartest guy around but I have enough common sense to know when I can get good info from someone.

Re: That's it I'm out of here...

Macsimizer,

Your oppinion is valued here, from what I read. Everyone gets frustrated and we all have outlets for dealing with this. It takes a bigger man to walk away from trouble, than to just talk about it all the time.

Looking forward hearing from you again, when you are ready.

I won't ever buy a car with a warranty, because of the way I distrust dealers.

Tim, you're invited to the Northeast Rally too!
I guess we feel like you're our younger brother that needs advice on truck choice
quote:
Originally posted by Tim_wants_a_Silverado:

Re: That's it I'm out of here...

I can't say that I saw the referance to the problem. I have been reminded several times here in the forum's also. Not everybody see's things the way I see things either and have told me so. I have thought about some of them and have agreed with some and not with others. I have no experience whatsoever with an International engine. I have learned much here with all of the fellow website patrons. If I'm wrong or have strayed I will expect some constructive input. This is the way of the knowledge. I know of noone who knows it all. This is why we are here.
