Got an email yesterday saying that AutoForums.com has acquired TheDieselStop.com
Any truth to this?
Hopefully if any changes are made, they will be for the better!

The details have not yet been finalized, but we are in the process. AutoForums will soon be taking over the administration of the site. For the most part, things will stay the same. The moderators and rules will mostly stay the same. I believe they will be doing an upgrade to vBulletin in the near future. The biggest change will be that they have the time and resources to completely support the website going forward.
We will post an announcement as the final details are worked out over the next few days.

You've been registered a whole week with a huge post count of 8 posts already, and you want the moderators changed? Which cow patti did you step in?
The current active moderators in the forums I frequent are outstanding. That includes klhansen, Dick Cutting, and Believer45. Teamroper60 was also a good guy, but he's no longer listed as a moderator, so I guess he retired?
Jason's note indicates there will probably be no change in the volunteer support staff, at least for now. That's good news. (Yes, the moderators except for Jason and Cristie are unpaid volunteers.) There is a brand new member that's also a brand new moderator with only one post, El_Calor, so that's probably someone connected with the new broom?

I know a lot of people like the vBulletin style but I have always like this one better...more "user friendly" i suppose even with the latest upgrade...just seems easier to see everything. I do realize though that I seem to be the minority with that thinking.
