Thoughts on having a membership directory?

I was wondering what you folks thought about the idea of having a directory of the members of this forum. This way, we can see where the other diesel truck owners live. This way, it would be organized in an easy to read chart, listed by city, state, country, and diesel vehicles owned. This would be a big help for those interested in setting up rallies or other diesel related events. This forum is definitely a major step in getting people in touch with one another, but I figured a directory would be another means of getting people in touch. Your thoughts? Jason?

Re: Thoughts on having a membership directory?

As long as it is voluntary or only lists the information in the user's profile, sounds fine with me.

I like my anonymity.

Re: Thoughts on having a membership directory?

I think it's a good idea but impractical because there's only one webmaster and 8000+ members.

Kevin has chosen that he wants to be secretive. That's his business. I don't see the point, but that's what he wanted.

Tim:

It maintains an air of mystery, of intrigue. Did we know much about Rick in Casablanca? No. That was part of the allure, the suave hero with a background that no one really knew.

That's me all over!

LOL!

I just like my privacy, that's all. No harm in that, is there?

Kevin, I'm with you on this one.

You can find some from my profile. If I wanted more known, I'd put more in.

If you send me mail, I might even share more but I also might just ignore it.
