Thread count not right

Hey guys, just a little thing but it is rather annoying, at least for me...

When I go into a forum I can only see 20 threads at a time... even though I have my preference set to 40.

but here is where it is is weird...

If I go into a thread under the forum, I can see 40 posts at a time....

Now maybe this is the way it's suppossed to work... just kinda of checking and seeing if it can be changed.

I used to be able to set it to 50 at a time and if I went into that forum it showed 50 threads at a time...

It's just easier to than having to click a next page button all the time... with as active as this board is, and with me only being able ot come once or twice a day it makes it much easier...

Just checking to see if this can be changed or if mine is even working right.

I don't see an option for setting how many topics show up in a forum index.

But there is an option as to how many posts are on a page within a topic. That's probably what you have set to 40.

So it sounds like yours is working like mine.

Bit I agree with you that I would prefer at least 50 topics would be on page 1 in the forum index. Even though I log in at least twice every day, I still have to go to page two or even three to see all the new topics in some forums since my last log on.

Yep, that's what I meant... I wasn't sure if that was normal or not... I seem to remember being able to get more topics on a page before.

At least I know it's working... Maybe there is a setting the "higher ups" have that can give us more.

You're right about having more topics on a page, I had mine set to something high...either 50 or 100, whatever the max. allowable was on the old site. I'd also like to be able to see more topics per page.

To the admins...may we please have the option to allow more threads per page?
