I just installed the Firefox web browser and it is like night and day. It took me a about 3 seconds to download this page with the DSL. Amazing...

My gripe is toned down a bit now....

Hi RTM,

Your lucky dog with having cable. I'm on dial-up @ 28.8kbs at the best.

T-1 is $500/mth or satellite@$60/mth is my only choice. No DSL or cable here.

But it's still a website problem here as I don't have any problems with my other websites. During the day, I stream 90mb of real time stock chart data in 6hrs with 7 open web tabs and two special direct connect software programs. If it was a problem on my end, I would never be able to DL 90mb in 6hrs.

Buy UNION work UNION. It pays off in the long run

We all are in some sort of labor Union, some are just larger than others with better working conditions!

Haven't had it that long. I used to have a second line just for dial up. Now I eliminated that line. Cost is just a finite more. Will never go back to dial up although Earthlink allows 40 hours of dialup with the cable modem. But when I get on the road I always seem to find a hotspot to get on.

This morning it's 5min to load the first page, 3min to load the 2nd page, and 2min to load one thread. Pause for a short read then 3min load this page and another 2min to load this thread.

So 15min load time for 3 web pages and 2 threads.

I don't know whether to be impressed with your patience, or amazed that you find this place worthy of such commitment.

Tell you one thing, though...were I one of those who took the bait on the "special memberships", I'd insist on having that tag removed from my profile. Every time I see it, all that comes to mind is..."sucker". I'm sure many bought it in good faith, but sheesh...what a waste of money.

Why hasn't a moderator chimed in here to help with the problem?? I used to prefer TDS over ALL other diesel sites, but I think if this keeps up.... I will not be visiting this site much more.

Maybe a glitch?

Maybe it's just me but I have no issue with site speed whatsoever on either of our computers.

We have Time Warner DSL hooked to a WIFI router in the house and this site comes up as fast as any site I visit everytime I log on which is normally less than 5 seconds.

Not saying you guys don't have speed issues but wanted to let everyone know that not everyone is experiencing the same problem.

Dave
