Is it time for a 6.4 Aftermarket and Upgrade Forum

Lots of folks are asking questions in the drivetrain forum, many posts on the issue of tuning and modding the 6.4, I was thinking it might be time for that forum. I was thinking if we want to keep the forums on topic that it should be added. The aftermarket tuning, modding market is coming on this engine so why not open a forum?

Not positive, but confident, too much of a cash cow. Minds are at work. They will find someway to juice it up. There are other type mods that will be available also, such as suspension, lifts and the like. Ford is way too big of a truck market to lay off the SD. I'm positive this entire thread is a prelude to haranguing the manufacturers of modifications to the new 6.4 because they may/will interfere with warranties.

To reply in kind or not to reply in kind that is the question..........Simon says no reply...............

Back on topic and away from flames and hijinx, I think it is a good idea, the 08 SD is generating a lot of excitment and we have a huge aftermarket crowd here whom I think would enjoy such a forum. I know we will have one at some point in time, the only issue is sooner or later....

Re: Is it time for a 6.4 Aftermarket and Upgrade Forum

I am a little surprised at the lack of interest in this type forum, after all, this is the new engine for Ford. I know there are some complications with some of the aftermarket products with this engine, but I don't think a site like this can be premature, I think it should be ahead of the game and get the information out. I personally am not a modding guy, but lots of folks are here and at this time there is no forum where posting about 6.4 mods are on topic. There will be a forum at some point when the folks that run this place decide it is appropriate. I think it should be now, but what I think is not really does not matter, it is being discussed widely. Once the aftermarket "catches up" to this new engine we will get the forum. May just take some time. I like to read the aftermarket forums but rarely post there. Aftermarket stuff is not all related to "tuning", it could be shocks, tires, grills, audio, lots of stuff. The engine is released, it is on the street, I don't see why we don't have the forum since it is entirely consistent with every other forum we have.

Re: Is it time for a 6.4 Aftermarket and Upgrade Forum

So what's up, no official response to the request? Moderators.. Jason???

I thought when the 6.0 came out we had the 6.0 forum and 6.4 prior to the launch b4 anyone had them.

Why not get the upgrade/aftermarket forum created? Is it a lot of work?

Re: Is it time for a 6.4 Aftermarket and Upgrade Forum

Question: From the time the 6.0 came out how long was it before there was a 6.0 forum? Part 2. From the time the 6.0 forum came out how long was it before a 6.0 after market forum came out.

My bet is a 6.4 aftermarket forum will come out when Quadzilla, TS Products, EDGE, and Banks Etc. have products to sell for the 6.4 and THEY will pay the site to put pop-ups on that forum to pay the bills for that new section. That would be the business way of doing it.
