How do you change the time zone settings or whatever it takes so the post times match reality? Right now they are 8 hours off for me. I looked through the user cp and found no way to change it???

Go to "My Account". Click on "Edit Options". Scroll down towards the bottom and there is a section to change the time zone setting to what you need.
