Time for some new graemlins there Jason..

The current graemlen selection is really stale and worn out. There are tons of others out there that you can choose from that will convey feeling better than the current selection...
I think you should consider adding some new faces, and getting rid of the duplicates..
Thanks.

Re: Time for some new graemlins there Jason..

I believe your right George. Going to other forums, there sure are alot more to choose from! What we have is better than none at all, but we certainly are in need of updated graemlins.
I'm not sure if it's a "cost" issue, or a time issue for Jason to do so? Or perhaps this forum software doesn't have the ability to add more, or update what we currently have?

Re: Time for some new graemlins there Jason..

New graemlins can be added to UBB.threads. There is always the question about whether the graemlins to be added are public domain or not. Plus, it is just another thing to do. They take up some server space, and processing time, but I guess that is insignificant compared to the database.

I am usually reluctant to add them to my board, but sometimes I give in.

Re: Time for some new graemlins there Jason..

I've noticed that several of the forums that have a mountain of graemlins have also put a limit (usually 3-4) as to how many you can put into a post. If you quote a post that already has some, they count toward your total.

Maybe by limiting the number of smilies, we can get some new ones here also??

Maybe the existing ones can be turned upside down for a while, or put in a box, like this

I find them distracting and feel that some people love them a little too much.

What I'm saying is to update.
Your stuff is as stale as moldy bread and you need to change things to keep fresh.
I hate the useless, goofy style graemlens that are more of a cartoon sequence as much as you, but their are others which you should add, and they are very necessary to communicate with.
I suggest tossing out the duplicates. You have enough smiley faces to choke a horse.
Get some others that convey other emotions.
