Torque

I dont want to sound so dumb, but can someone tell me the dif.between Torque And Horsepower? Thanks Gary K

Welcome to the site.
There a lot of engineeer types here, so you'll get better answers than mine, but I'll give it a try. Torque is the amount of force in ft/lbs applied to initially move an object. This is what gets you moving. Hp is the amount of power exerted once you have the object moving. Something like that. Forget the technical explanation from my colledge days.

Torque is how hard you hit the brick wall, Horsepower is how fast you hit that brick wall.

My Sierra Blanca is a '99.5 PSD CrewCab hot-rod Towing Machine! BTS tranny; TurboRamAir intake and 4" stainless turbo-back exhaust; DP-Tuner tunes flashed into an Edge Evolution tuner; ISSPRO EV gauges and TTM; AIC; SP-Diesel exhaust brake and torque converter controller.
