Re: This tread name changing game going on needs to stop

to make your point tut, look at the main forum page, see where it says go broncos... but there is no thread! I will delete the post.
It's a slow forum. So it might stay for a few mins.

Re: This tread name changing game going on needs to stop

Yep, you make the point, I am not trying to be critical of the site, it is great, but there is a software issue here that I think could be addressed to stop the obvious hijinxs that could occur if not corrected.....................

I'm sorry, but I disagree with you. It won't be changed.

I like it

For just this reason - I can post the gist of my thread and if someone wants to read my point of view they can, or they can skip it.

Personal, free opinion only, perhaps overpriced at that.

Re: I like it

I still do not understand this issue,,,,,,,If I post the following in the 6.0 forum.............FORD HAS JUST SAID IT WILL BUY BACK ALL 6.0'S,,,,,,,,,,,ridiculous as that seems, but maybe truthful, ha, and then someone replies editing the post title,,,,,,,,,,,,,,"YOU are an idiot, you 6.0 liar", when folks are reading the indexes they will see "YOU are an idiot, you 6.0 liar", but never see FORD HAS JUST SAID IT WILL BUY BACK ALL 6.0'S............. and when they click on the link they will see the original post title and be confused, ok I have used an extreme example to make a point, most people here do not "dive" into the threads they read the last post title and then decide to go further.............this Jason my friend is a bad decision.........I respect your opinion and your ownership of this site, but this will get out of hand and YOU can do something about it........................... Off Topic Post.

If nothing else the Subject line should be "on topic". Same as the posts.

I don't have a clue about software on this site.. but as a "rule", it would make sense. I think rules may be easier fix.

At the very least it deserves consideration.

Re: I like it

To tell the truth TUT the first time that happend to me i was kinda confused. I saw in the main index a thread then when i clicked on the forum i didn't see the thread. After a few mins i figured it out then I was fine. But as it is now when you go into a forum it has the name of the thread then on the right the last poster and subject of their post. So it's a lot less confusing now and i don't think people will get as easily confused as i did before it was changed. And if they do get confused i'm sure they'll figure it out pretty quick.

Re: I like it

The ability to alter subject is for "threaded" view.

It makes a lot of sense if you look at the posts that way.

more "traditional" bb users tend to prefer threaded view. (Flat view is in the minority)

I don't know about BB software, but in my buisness you buy a software OS/Package and deal with it, sometimes options are there, sometimes they're not. But patching, customizing the code and so forth isn't worth the time, effort or energy not to mention the cost for a few people who don't like it. I generally use the same reply that Jason sent, sorry it aint changing.

Not suggesting this is a software issue......

Btw I like flat mode, I think we need a poll

How many years does it take to become a more "traditional" bb user? I'm still not there I guess. I do see your point in that on the flat mode it is more easily seen, allthough this not traditional user doesn't like it.
