IIRC, it's against forum rules for one person to have multiple "handles" on here. I assume that this is enforced by checking IP addresses. My question is, how is it handled if two different members are posting from the same IP address?
I ask 'cause I'm working on getting my girlfriend to start posting on here (she just posted for the 2nd time tonight ), but we post from the same computer, and I want to make sure that I'm in accordance with the forum rules.
Thanks!

Warden, my wife and I have done that for a couple of years now. I don't think it is an issue if there is not a problem with the usage, but obviously if your woman gets out of control, then you will loose access too. - Mel
I am not real computer savy and don't know what my IP address is but I have one internet service account and I have a computer and my son has a computer and we both post here through that account. We can't both be on the internet at the same time, so we have to take turns. Hope this is not against the rules.

As long as you don't have 2 different logins (regardless of IP) that you use to stir up trouble, there are No problems. None whatsoever. Don't even think twice about it.

I was visiting a "Liberal website back before the war started, and they accused me of being someone else, and saying that I kept changing my IP to avoid detection. That was before they kicked me off for posting conservative views to counter their liberal views(you know, free speech and all that, can't handle a logical argument like we do here in good fun)I had no idea what they were talking about. I'm on dial up, does that mean it changes each time I get online?

Yes, you get a brand new IP addy everytime the modem dials.
I know of one member that has at least two user accounts and I suspect more. Can't say he has done any harm. I figure its so he has somebody to talk to late at night
