Try this...


Go to Java.com and click the Big download on the right.

This will update you to the latest version of the java VM. Mixed my problem on a few machines.

Otherwise Port 6667 might be blocked in your firewall. (which is my case at work, Haven't yet found a reliable free IRC web proxy/gateway serice that only requires port 80 or 443 yet.

Does anyone actualy use Chat? I don't know of any site where Chat actually gets used.

I can't get in either. Just pops up the page with a red x in the corner. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

As of this minute 14 people are in chat. I had trouble with the chat on here so I downloaded the ICE chat program and used that with the settings provided on here. It is fun.

Here is the link to the Ice Chat home page where you can download Ice Chat. Then use the setting that you can find by clicking on the TDS chat link with the Ice Chat program.
