web site makeover?? inform new old member

Hey, I know it has been a while since I last logged on but what happened?? My old username did not work - no one answered my email so I reregistered . Am I at the same old dieselstop?? The website I once loved for all the info and fellowship to keep my oil burning Ford F350 running strong??

Please advise - New old member (I think)

No different site - different "ownership". Strictly for profit page now...

New ownership, using a different forums software.

Before the change in ownership, we were using Ultimate Bulletin Board Threads (UBBThreads) as our forums software. UBBThreads allowed you to have a display name different than your username, but the new software, VBulletin, does not.

Your old username (login name) probably still works, but your old display name won't work if it was different from your username.

If you want your old account rescued so you can get your post count back, then you need to contact our administrator, Nadeem. Only Nadeem has the access that will allow him to straighten out your old account and make it accessable to you. I'll PM you with Nadeem's e-mail addy.

Yep, the one started by Jason Lester as the ABOL bulletin board about 1997, then became Ford-Diesel.com in 1999, and eventually TheDieselStop.com about 2001. Except for the new ownership and the different forums software, nothing else has changed much. Basically the same bunch of volunteer moderators and the same forum rules.

I tried logging in about 3 months ago for the first time in a year+ and had hard time trying to get on. You can tell I spend a lot of time here (299 posts in 9.5 years). I thought maybe that's what I got for never owning a Ford diesel

Emailed Jason and Dick since they were still listed on the main page but emails kept kicking back. Finally got a hold of a John and after several emails back and forth my account login was finally fixed. What a PITA but I have no problem getting on now, but you wonder how many people like me who may have tried to get back on but gave up and moved on.
