Every time a member has ever been deleted from this site, as long as I can remember, the other members have been given an explanation.
I remember what a big deal it was when Frederick and Lux were both banned, and all the times Hoot/Clatter/Catia/Mike were banned. So why is it different this time?
Seems to me this is almost classified or something. All the posts have disappered and so has the user.
I don't mean to cause trouble, I just find this very different than the past.

Tim,
No secret, if you read the other posts, the person in charge of the Norcal rally wanted all the negative posts removed from his rally thread. They had no place there. He sends vendors there to look at whos coming and doesn't want them to see this. No secret.

Then why did representatives from this site clutter the Rally thread with public insults to a specific member (ex member) instead of professionally handling the situation? A better way to have handled it would be to
1. E-mail the member in question regarding the situation
2. Move the inappropriate posts to the appropriate forum
3. Try to determine what happened, if it is even possible.
The mystery is why was this type of action not taken, but rather the member in question publicly insulted?
Why did representatives respond so aggressively in the Rally thread instead of moving the posts and addressing the problem in a different thread?
Why are the officials of this site shutting down the discussions?
Bob, I usually respect your opinion, but think you are either oversimplifying this situation or are missing the point of Tim's question.
I was reading the thread in question due to interest in the NorCal rally. I read the posts when they were still located in that thread. Bryan (Pyscho) had made some posts in this thread. He is planning on attending the rally. When he read the thread his posts were gone. His comment was "Someone must be up to their old tricks again" ( No names were mentioned ). The webmaster then told Bryan not to be an idiot etc.
I can see that this kind of posting should not be in a NorCal thread. From reading another post Bryan sent an apology to the NorCal Co-ordinator. IMHO Bryan was not in the wrong. The only thing that Bryan said is stated above ( about his missing posts). I totally agree with L.J's above comment.
Was this a good reason to be banished from this site? I think not. Bitter about Bryan's new diesel site? Maybe
Everyone enjoys this site and appreciates the time & efforts of this administration. There has to be a way to handle situations such as the one above without it having to go to this extent.
LJ,
Actually wasn't trying t ooversimplify it, just relaying what I read last night. Tim's question was why all the posts were deleted for no reason. IF I mis read the question, then disreguard the answer.
Since I am not a site rep, can't answer the rest of your questions.
I am sure I missed most of what happened myself, but the post I read last night was kinda a rundown of what happened. At least that's what I thought.

Understood. By this point there is a lot of information missing and deleted.
L.J.
p.s. off topic, If I remember correctly you are heading up to Tennesse? When and where? Are you coming through Atlanta? If so, drop me an e-mail.

Brent & Davey - It's not about "stirring things up", it's about being able to hold a lively discussion on a topic that you care about and not being cast into the void for it.
It's also not about being able to say "anything they want and that rules do not apply to them", although saying anything you want is why we're over on this side of the Atlantic now.
I don't feel like I should have to take some moral high ground on this and sermonize about freedom, country, flag, etc., just to make folks see that there is something inherently wrong with being shut-up by someone else for what really wasn't anything major.
Brent, I do agree that you can't run around in a forum like this and say just ANYTHING, but that wasn't the case here.
See the difference?
Troy
Now there is no reason to have two different topics concerning this running at the same time. In fact a majority of these posts are near duplicates to the other thread.

Although I am sure you have already read this since you have posted on the very thread on PSYCCHOSTROKERS message board.
From PSYCHSTROKER's message board..

Look guys,
I was a little shocked, and upset when I started this topic,But the more I look at it the more I realize is that the choice of words, and where I replied might not have been a wise thing to do on Ford-Diesel.com
I do repect what everyone has said and Having made apologies to Both Big Jake and Jason Lester for my actions I feel that I have clean my side of the street.
So I'm going to lock this topic as I'm the one that started it.
So please respect what I'm doing because we all need to work together as a team.

You need to get it over it and let Jason on the Moderators get back to business.. If you do not like how ford-diesel.com handles this message board go elsewhere.
This Message Board is like Jasons house and therfore goes by his rules so lets quit with the Free Speech BS & stop trying to play detective (just a reminder it is a FREE SITE to the user). If you walk into my house and start making accusations you would be promtly escorted out of my house.
Bob,
I also read the post last night from the norcal organizer (the last post in that topic before we were locked out, very convenient), it was a neat and tidy explanation of what happened. I am very suspicious of neat and tidy things.
I have to say that if a vendor could be swayed from coming to an event based on some lively discussion on a discussion forum, then we don't need 'em.
I'm sorry, but you will not convince me that the way PSYCHOSTROKER was dissed and dismissed (insulted and kicked off) was handled in anything other than a very, very unprofessional manner.
PSYCHOSTROKER is one of our most prolific posters. He and guys like him are "driving this train," they are constantly bending and tweaking and refining and testing new things in an effort to improve their vehicles and the end result is that we all benefit from their experience. That's why I come here.
The proper way to handle this situation would have been to move the "offending" posts to the proper forum, not delete them as has been done.
Maybe there is some type of way to proceed with this situation whereby all can save face.
Jason, you and the moderators do an outstanding job all the time, this really is one of the best websites on any topic, period. But, an injustice has occured, maybe you have your reasons, maybe, as you stated, it is nobody's business but your own (although that really isn't an acceptable response given the type of environment that you have fostered here), but that doesn't change the fact that you have handled this situation very differently from similar situations in the past and we all have noticed.

The above pasted post shows that Bryan is handling the situation in a professional
manner and is trying to go the distance to resolve the manner. The question is will he
be met in the middle?

Had Bryan not made the accusations this would have never happpend. You got the wrong person on the stand.
Brent,
All I can say is wow! "FREE SPEECH BS"! I guess it was wrong what I always heard about Texans and their freedom. "FREE SPEECH BS"! I love it!!!

Well I am an Okie at heart or at least on the bandwagon when the football team does good - Sooner Born Sooner Bred and When I die I will be Sooner Dead.
With that out of the way I am not against freedom of speech. I just tire of people that feel they have the freedom to say anything they want and that rules do not apply to them.
Whew too much copy and pasting... need to lock one of these threads so I dont have to repeat myself
