What can't I remote link to pictures?

Not sure if this is the right place or not but when ever I remote link to pictures I it just shows up with the tags and the url but never shows the picture. Any thoughts?

Example below.

you need to add the full path.
So if your pictures are on a website, it needs to be something like
http://www.thedieselstop.com/directoryname/filename
and so on.

Same for the avatar.

Smokey answered the question and that was that photos cannot be displayed within a post. That feature is turned off here. Just post a link to the image whereever it resides.
