What happened to old posts...

I tried to include an old post in a reply to a thread but both links in the old post went to totally unrelated posts. Are the old posts just gone?

Inside this good link was two links that are messed up.
Valley Oil Leak...

messed up links...
Here's my thread when my High Pres Oil Pump plug was leaking...

A few other leak posts...

TheDieselStop was sold to new owners in the fall of 2007. The new owners then changed from UBBThreads to VBulletin forums software. The old posts are still there, but any links to them in posts made under UBBThreads won't properly resolve under VBulletin.

If you click on one of those old links then see "ubbthreads" in the URL, you'll know that's a link that's not going to work.

For example, when you click on the "here's my thread" link, if you act fast and capture the URL it's trying to find, you'll see:
http: //forums. thedieselstop.com/ ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0 ...
(without the spaces). But the current URL should look like:
http: //www. thedieselstop.com /forums/f10/what-happened-old-posts-235155/
also without the spaces.

So the link to to "here's my thread" is to an old thread that's not going to work.

Although the links in posts do not work to show you the intended old thread/post, you can stlll read the old database of threads/posts. Click on the following link, and enjoy reading old threads/posts:
TheDieselStop.Com Forums - Powered by UBB.threads™

Note that the search engine still works to find threads/posts that were made under UBBThreads. So if you find an old post while searching, you will get the new URL to that post. But any link to older threads/posts on TheDieselStop within that post is probably not going to work.
