What Sid, Did!

Well now I have EVERYONES attention. I would like to bring some light to something Sid McAllister (Sid) did for a fellow member.

My father was having brake problems with his motorhome in Lewisville, Tx. (His motor home is a class "C" with a Ford F-350 chassis and a 460 gasser)
Some of yall may remember my Dad from the Louisville, Ky rally, as he attended the rally with me.

I sent Sid a private message telling him about this and asking his help choosing a place to take the motorhome for repairs. Sid contacted Dad and told him the place he felt would do a good job. Sid made followup calls (Some long distance) to make sure Mom and Dad were taken care of. Sid did all of this while he was working "Nights". So he also lost some sleep helping a fellow member.

The place that did the repairs also should get some kudos as well. They could have easyly taken advantage of "The old folks from out of town", but did not. This dealership is also a sponsor of the "Texoma" rally. None other than "Prestige Ford".

This is the kind of thing that make this board great. Folks willing to help others without expecting anything in return.

So I would like everyone to know the "Good Deed" Sid did for my family members.

I felt that with the ford-diesel.com board being the way we met as well as the tool used for the initial contact asking for help. It should be here the thanks were expressed.

Thanks Sid! And I owe ya one!

Re: What Sid, Did!

Don,
I was happy to help, that's what F-D.com is all about! Your dad called when he got home to let me know everything worked out.

Thanks for the compliment, now I have to go buy a larger hat.
