I have seen your post, even though I was not the moderator who deleted it. Your post did not offer constructive criticism.
If you don't like a rule, then tell us the rule, and tell us how you'd change it. We'll be glad to discuss why the rule is there and why we agree or disagree with your change.
In this case, I suspect you don't like the rule about not being able to support a cause in the public forums. But as I mentioned in another thread, there are a million worthy causes, and there are lots of websites that allow you to support those causes. But TheDieselStop is not one of those websites.
This website is primarily for discussion of Ford diesel trucks and vans. The owners decided to not allow posts supporting various causes, because that would clutter up the forums. If we made an exception for your favorite cause, then other members would be justified in demanding an exception for their favorite cause too. And before you know it, the forums would be full of causes, and folks wanting information on their Ford diesel truck would have to plow through the clutter to find information they were looking for.
Obviously you, and I'm sure there are others, understood what my post was about. So as I see it, it was deleted because it was critical of a rule of this forum. If it can't be discussed as adults and not deleted like children there is no further reason for me to continue.
I just don't get it. There were two posts from other members that were deleted. Is this section only for posts saying good things about TDS? Again, here is the title of the section we're posting in.
News, Comments, and Suggestions Discussion of TheDieselStop.Com itself. What do you like or don't like, kudos and complaints, comments and suggestions.

Sorry, Smokey, but I figured I had to jump right in here after I quit laughing. Ever since this site became a commercial venture last year, we've been bombarded with google adds from Cheby, Dod*e, Toyoga, Playboy, Skoal, cigarettes, and everything else under the sun, and yet, the moderators are worried that if there are too many causes to have to navigate through, that us ford truck and van owners will have to plow through the clutter to find information we were looking for? A lot of these users are the ones that kept f*rd-diesel alive in the really lean years. They've built up a comradery. What would be so difficult about setting up a forum to hold individual notices, causes, the passing of long-time members? After all, it's these members that buy the products that the advertisers pan handle for on this website that makes it profitable for the Canuk owners.
I have to tell you, 9 1/2 years ago, I used to spread the gospel about this 'previously named site' for any ford diesel owner that would listen to me at the diesel pumps. I used to boast about how much information about their truck and engine was available at the site, and how generous the members were with their knowledge and trouble shooting.
Now, I pop over here every once in a while just to see if the site has been driven into the ground yet. It's like watching our economy tank. I know it's going to happen, but no one in authority will listen to make effective changes that can save the day.

It is really amazing. My post actually contained some support of the admin for this site, but a little slap for the moderators (which by the way, came straight from the admin, not from me), and it still got deleted.
Maybe I said the child's name, or maybe it's cuz I said cancer, or wait it had to be because I said "support".
We would not want to "support" anything other than the open money drawer on this site. Anything else is contrary to the money hungry, rules set forth by somebody sitting in an office who has NO idea what kind of a group of people this is.
Since my club is a non-profit club, I am allowed to post links to it, so here goes, visit Colorado Power Stroke Club to offer your prayers and support for the Wildman family, as well as give your .02 on TDS' current set of rules.
On our club website, we don't delete posts. Not even the ones that disagree with what the admins are saying. Free country, free speech.
Plus, I got the cahones to listen to what others have to say, then respond and explain my own feelings. Wow, what a feeling!
The moderation here has become very capricious, uneven and trigger-happy. One age old quote comes to mind:
"Absolute power corrupts absolutely"
The admins/owners need to set some reasonable limits if they want to keep the few remaining members. This post will likely be deleted, even though it is posted in the "Discussion of TheDieselStop.Com itself. What do you like or don't like, kudos and complaints, comments and suggestions." section.
Seems that complaints are no longer tolerated in the complaint section?

In practice, they are not.

That's okay Kevin. Every single time I post it gets deleted. I have not linked to PSN at all, only to my club site (which is legal, because my site is NON-PROFIT).
I got another email from the Admin, Nadeem, here. He said that he is reviewing my case.
Well, the 48-hours I gave him is almost over......
Depends on the decision they make. Ball is in their court.
I am hoping that the decide to let the thread be posted, and unban me. lol
If they don't, then next will be the exact same thing I did when Richard lost his baby. Phone calls and emails to sponsors letting them know what kind of site they are putting their money into.
It worked last time. The thread about prayers needed for the Madsen family, and the fund that was set up was put back up, and my username was unbanned. Even more, the "Member News" section was set up just exactly for these type of things.
Don't go telling me that standing up for what is right against a corporation doesn't work. I've proven it.
The diesel community is a close knit group, we are family. We stick together, and support each other in times of need. The $25 and prayer you give today, might be the $25 and prayer that you will need tomorrow - and be thankful that it is provided.
Chuckster, IDI guys are totally welcome.

I am totaly behind you on this one. I am waiting to see what happens too. I keep staying on the fence about becoming a "paying" member here, and these sorts of things make me think twice. You just might see me on the other site. If you could PM me with info for "help" I would appreciate it.
