Why does the search function suck so bad? - Diesel Forum

I cannot make more than one search in a row w/ out waiting awhile. Does it do that for everyone or am I the only lucky one?

nope same here.Prevents server overload.This is what was stated in a post by another member on the same subject awhile back.

Search function used to work sooooo much better years ago. Now you have to have just the right combo of words to get to what you want and still have to dig quite a bit.

I don't know what the deal is. I frequent some audio sites that have a lot more traffic than this site and they must have much better servers because they do not get slow. Maybe Jason should have bought better or more servers when he upgraded. I'm sure he makes enough from sponsors to do that.

I will say it again, the search function sucks.

Yeah it such REAL bad. Seems they don't care if their search sucks. And they wonder why people just post new threads and never search....

Obviously you have some knowledge of software......but zero knowledge of the reality of business.......start your own site and run it as you wish. Jason has stated that he is not changing the servers or software to please you, move on!
