Will not be modding for awhile do to a new career.

I will not be doing anything to my truck for a while. I am now self-employed and have important tasks now that require all my time and effort. Not something most would expect from an 18 year old, but hey we're not all the same!

Oh yeah,

500th POST WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!

Ok. I'll bite. What's the new career?

What was the old career?

It gets 21-23 mpg consistently (on the highway) and 17 mpg in town. My remaining planned mod list includes Amsoil & electric radiator fans.

You gotta be from Texas. That's the biggest load of Texas hooey I've ever read on this site. I wouldn't even expect moderated behavior like that from a refined southern gentleman like Lott. Heck, even my buddy Suns can't resist the temptation to outspend me on truck parts. And keep in mind that I am just a shy, meek hearted and lowly Yankee.

BTW, I heard on the news today that Congress is going to cut Alaska in half just to make Texas #3, and you already know Bush thinks "VETO" means regime change for the Italian Mafia.

Re: Will not be modding for awhile do to a new career.

Old career: Well I would'nt exactly call it a "career", but I worked at a golf course. Before that I worked at Walgreens, and before that in a shop manufacturing and assembling parts for my uncles business.

New career: After observing my parents and their discussions in real estate, I have decided to follow. Mind you both of them are Realtors, but I am now a Real Estate INVESTOR. I have been saving all my money I have been making (except for the stuff on my truck), in order to invest in "flipping houses". I have already started on my first property. My aim is to have the house up for re-sale in 4 months.

Now, the pay-off: If everything goes smoothly, I will have enough to invest in another property, AND reward myself with a BTS tranny.

So that is my plan, it shall be written, it shall be done.

Ok, I'll buy that. It sounded like you were trying to convince us that you no longer had any interest in upgrading your truck. Now you have clarified your statement and proven that your entire course in life actually revolves around mods for your truck (starting with that BTS in your future). Congratulations on your new found source of financial slavery to your vehicle. I nominate you for vice president of the PMS club of which I am clearly the chief fool and president.

Kid, if you have learned ANYTHING from your parents worklife example, you have done better than most of us. I sincerely wish you much success. Meanwhile, keep an eye on the prices of housing and real estate world wide. My reccomendation is that you stick to that plan of short term investment cycle of buy-rehab/remodel-sell and save some money out of each transaction to purchase gold and platinum mining claims somewhere outside of the united states. In lieu of that you could buy yourself a seat in the U.S. Senate- whatever it takes to arrange for permanent long term income.

Yes, this thread is news, but not pertaining to TDS or Diesels in general.

It's done.
