Actually................. I have this vision of them in a room looking out the window while smoking a cigar and getting a little woody every time a truck with ridiculously over-sized tires, gun rack and high revving engine goes by driven by a guy with a beer in one hand and plastered with stickers advertising their conspicuous consumption.

That's funny.

And everytime a fellow 6' 2" trades in his full size for a Honda Fit the Teddy Bear at the "Green Company" farts candy corn and bubble gum!

In the good ol days boys grew up to be MEN. Men that like trucks and guns, loud noise, action, and being out doors, not sissies like you. You are the pansy that every mother hopes her son doesn't grow up to be. You probably never even got dirty , when you were a kid. What a shame
Ironic how this new movement is called "green".... that's the color of envy...

With great regard for the rules of the site, I won't respond other than to say......................

.....looks like I hit a nerve, eh?

BTW - The "Gandy" in my name is short for Gandy Dancer and refers to my profession. Do yourself a favor to expand your intellect and look up the definition to see if I ever got my "hands dirty."

I think you two should fight to the death.

The event will be considered "Green" because at least 1 person will die thus leaving the planet with 1 less polluter.

I'm confused.
I am confused.
AK_Gandy were you being satirical or serious? Guessing by the I assumed you were kidding.

Anyways I have to agree with you. Guns belong under the front seat. Finish your beer before you drive, and keep the cans on the floor behind you out of sight of cops. You shouldn't have bumper stickers unless you want someone with another viewpoint to key your car. Big tires are OK if there is mud on the truck. And my truck won't rev past 3400.

They're also called "green" because that's the color of money! Buy forest land, allow logging to take place on it. Plant a new tree for each one you cut, then sell the ability of those trees to convert CO2 into Oxygen (carbon credits). If I was the CEO of an oil company, I'd look into "going green".

I was serious.

The only thing I forgot was the dixie flag and a photo of Jesse Helms in the window.

I wonder if that will strike another nerve?

I'll bet you didn't see many Dixie flags at your old job but I'm just betting you see a few at your new location. JAX has plenty of good old boys!!!

Lets not resort to name calling!

As to dirty, AK/Rick was a RR track worker when he was a kid, working on the track when it was about 50 degrees below zero. I did this work two college summers on the D and H (Delaware and Hudson RR) I can assure you it's back breaking dirty work. You may not like what he says or his demeanor but pansy that never got dirty would not be accurate.

You don't concern me with your liberal talk. Jesse Helms was a great man. If you hate diesel trucks why do you post on this forum?
If you hate freedom why do you live in America.... Hmmm... maybe you don't live in America.... maybe your a Frenchy...

Question

Dang it, after all these years I did not know that our friend Rick (AK Gandy) hates diesels and freedom.

I feel so used.

The day of the F-150/250/350 as a daily driver is over. To continue to do so is really silly. $200 fill-ups even if you can afford them is also silly. Who wants to appear silly!
