Yes, he was horrible!!!

I don't really like the Bob Marley version of "I shot the Sheriff", but he butchered it to pieces. Then he had the balls to butcher "Mr. Bojangles". If he doesn't go home tonight I may nerver watch it again.

David Cook was OK, but he needs to do songs that people know or have at least heard once. He does show a lot of talent with the way he changes them up, and he sure can sing, but he is goofy looking.

Young David has a lot of singing talent, also, and the teenage girls with Suncom cell phones have no problem voting for him hundreds of times.

Syesha not only sang and performed very well last night, she looked great.

And, yes, Roofie, she was a little busty in the second song.

It was the worst night to me of the entire season. Nobody seemed really on, except the kid, who sings in the same tone every song every week. He is a mechanical singer with no real "entertainment" component. Cook's song choices sucked. He could have killed some other songs and sealed the deal for a victory. No doubt that bubble head dreadlock is gone tonight, so it will be down to three and it will get interesting.

Yes, she was looking very healthy last night!

It's simple.
Cook wins.
The kid takes second because of the teenie bopper vote, and the chick goes home next week.

Bottom line?
None of them are real "star" material in any way, shape or form.
They are just a nice selection of kids who have entertained us the last couple of months on American Idol.

Except for catching the local weather in the morning, we don't watch TV. One of these days I may be so old and feeble that I'll be forced to sit in front of a friggen TV all day, but I'm sure as heck not going to volunteer for that fate.

Is this really how you want to spend your time?

It's no wonder why 2/3 of all Americans are overweight. Come on people, take a walk, play with your kids, get a hobby. Something! Anything!!!

quit preaching that you're all high and mighty b/c you "don't" watch tv... I'm pretty sure that NO ONE asked about and NO WHERE in this thread is it discussed about how much TV one does or does not watch.. way to assume because someone watches a particular show that they are fat and overweight...

I ride a bike every day with one of my daughters while she runs.

I watch American idol with my wife and two daughters.

I have a hobby, setting in front of a computer and insulting people who watch too much TV.

I could stand to lose a few pounds. But that is the story of my life. Heck I lost 4 pounds when I was two days old.

It took 55 years to get this shape and I still have a 34" waist. There's a 38" belly over it, but it's still a 34. Plus I can't afford a hobby, I have horses...

Poor rasta man is out. I still can't believe it took this long...I'm thinking Cook is going to pull it off.

Not so fast on this one. It all depends on your definition of a "star". If you consider Daughtry a star, then I think cook will be as successful as him, if your threshold for star is Carrie Underwood or Kelly Clarkson, then I agree none of them will reach that level. I think the kid has an outside chance if much of Syesha's support goes to the kid

Because she was country/western. Same for Chris Daughtry unless you are a hard rock fan.

I did go to the hard rock café with my 9 year old to see Bo Bice,.....horrible!

I was a Carrie fan and still am and i don't like country but she is good.

I was also a Catherine Maphee fan and thought Taylor Hicks sucked!

But what to I know. David cook will be the winner....a star? I don't know!

Daughtry is far from hard rock. Actually, I never cared for him on Idol because he is soooo ordinary...
Nice story, but he's got no game
Same with Bo Bice. No real identity and totally ordinary..

I'm not really a fan of any former idol, but Kelly Clarkson took the ball and ran with it for a few years.
She and Carrie are really the only talents I have seen on Idol.

The real magic in making music is song writing. If you can write hits, and can sing, you have control, as well as something unique to sell.

And sadly, today very few have those qualities, on Idol and otherwise, music is manufactured these days. It is written, composed and performed by extraordinarily talented folks who never see the light of day in the media, it is produced in the most technological, expensive studios that one has ever seen. I guess what I am saying is that "they" can make anyone a star if "they" so choose. I got some sage words from a Nashville producer on a cruise a few years back, he said to me, "It's not about how well they write or sing, it's how they look in jeans, we can make anyone sound good with the production talent we have". I believe him. No wonder most live performances today are technologically enhanced, they can't do it on their own.

Great voice, tremendous good looker and hot bod......what's not to like.

I'm not kidding about Bo Bice, my 9 year old dragged me to the Hard Rock Cafe and it was horrible.

Carrie in Jeans isn't too bad at all.

I'm thinking that the winner will be the guy with the funny looking hair.

Or maybe the girl that looks like a prostitute.

OK, I have to admit. I've never seen the show, nor do I care to.
