Looks like a great idea, but, with some of our distances and "wide open spaces" maybe more for city and campus use here.. still a good idea..

When I was a kid some cities still had electric buses, they used the old overhead wires from the trolleys but could swing to the curb. Maybe they could come back and help free up some #2 for my selfish self..
