Ford Dealer closes

A large Ford, GM, Dodge dealer shut it doors in Hempstead Texas.
No notice to employees

yeah, doesn't surprise me, my grandfather works for Ford, and he said that some plants are just shutting down, and laying EVERYONE off, the unions are trying to get higher wages for their employees, but theres no money to give out

Chevy Dealer here closed last week and the Ford dealer merged with one 10 miles away the next day. Times are getting rough.

Lawrence Marshall in Hempstead was an institution. I was going to fly home to buy a truck from them last year, but decided to hang on to the one I have. They seemed like good people. Ray Childress, the former Houston Oiler was their CEO.

My local Ford dealer shut its' doors - a real bummer!. They were just down the street and were really handy.

I think you have the higher wages part wrong. If I remember correctly, they have given some huge concessions to the companies to help keep them in business.

Its happening all over. By me the ford, dodge and jeep dealer closed and merged with there other dealership 10 miles away. The Cadi, and GM dealership did the same.
